Welder – Fire Protection Division

PACE Supply is looking for dependable, motivated Welders to join our Fire Protection Division in Nampa, ID. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and want the opportunity to develop your skills in a skilled trade, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Welder, you’ll work with semi-automatic and robotic welding equipment to weld components, fabricate and repair parts, and assist with pipe installations and repairs. You’ll play an important role in supporting our team while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Learn to set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and production machinery.

• Weld components using semi-automatic and robotic welding equipment.

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair basic components as needed.

• Assist with pipe installation, fabrication, and repair work.

• Load, unload, and move products and materials safely.

• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, schematics, and other job-related documentation.

• Inspect and maintain equipment and machinery to ensure safe, reliable operation.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.

• Follow established operating procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety guidelines.

• Recognize, report, and help address potential safety hazards.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

• High school diploma or equivalent credential required.
• Previous experience in a welding, fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
• Basic mathematical knowledge
• Steel-toed boots and appropriate safety gear
• Ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout your shift
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable reading a tape measure and using basic hand tools

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

• The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
