Schedule:
Monday–Friday, starting at 8:00 AM
Daily overtime available

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support special projects throughout the Distribution Center, including facility upgrades and production assistance

  • Prepare merchandise for shipping or will-call orders by accurately picking and packaging items

  • Operate all DC lifts and learn/perform all RF functions

  • Pick and put away products in all warehouse zones: shelving, bulk, annex, racking, pipe, etc.

  • Efficiently receive, check, and stock incoming freight

  • Unload trucks manually or using equipment

  • Meet or exceed daily productivity standards

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for working on any DC project or helping with production.
  • Pulls orders from inventory, manually and/or utilizing forklift.
  • Prepares materials for delivery to and/or pick up by customers. Packs materials in boxes or on pallets (as appropriate), and labels accordingly.
  • Count, verify, and maintain accuracy of products.
  • Receive orders through supervisor from prepared and prioritized work tags.
  • Accurate and timely receiving freight.
  • Safe and efficient unloading of trucks.
  • Identification of inaccurate or damaged material.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the workgroup.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent education
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills.
  • Dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in time management, consistently meeting responsibilities within designated time-frames.
  • Collaborative mindset, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external interactions with customers and manufacturers.
  • Basic math skills, including counting and performing computations up to four digits.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding.
  • Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and oral communication.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, considering all factors and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Adherence to workplace rules, methods, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to be trained and certified on various equipment (stand up, reach lift, order picker and more.)

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
