Overview

Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly process customer orders for HVAC products and equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and stock HVAC materials, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and counter area, keeping aisles and walkways clear for efficient access to HVAC inventory.
- Safely and accurately load and unload HVAC products for customer vehicles as needed.
- Conduct timely and accurate cycle counts of HVAC inventory as required.
- Participate in ongoing HVAC-specific training and education to enhance product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
- Continuously expand expertise in HVAC products to provide expert assistance at the counter, including staying informed about inventory availability and product locations in the warehouse.
- Conduct sales efforts for HVAC products in an ethical and professional manner.
- Enter customer orders, process branch transfers, and provide accurate HVAC product quotations, inventory details, and pricing.
- Follow up on HVAC customer orders, resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction, and respond to inquiries quickly.
- Provide accurate HVAC product and job quotes as needed.
- Clearly communicate relevant policies and procedures to customers regarding HVAC purchases, returns, credit terms, etc.
- Assist in maintaining the professional appearance of the branch, including straightening and cleaning the counter area, warehouse, and other facilities as needed.
- Report any back orders or discrepancies in HVAC materials promptly.
- Perform all duties safely, adhering to safety protocols and reporting any hazardous conditions to the manager.
- Assist in conducting year-end physical inventory for HVAC products.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent education required.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC products in warehouse, retail, or customer service environments required.
- Familiarity with warehouse software packages and proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data related to HVAC inventory and sales.
- Ability to recognize and read HVAC product codes, location codes, and date codes.
- General math skills to support accurate cash accounting and HVAC order processing.
- Strong willingness and ability to learn, particularly about HVAC products and industry trends.
- Excellent decision-making and communication skills, with a focus on addressing customer HVAC needs.
- Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with strong time management skills to manage HVAC orders and customer inquiries efficiently.

Work Environment
Physical Requirements:
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Environmental Conditions:
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
