We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Warehouse Worker to join our team and help deliver on our commitment to outstanding customer service. In this role, you’ll be a key player in our daily operations, handling tasks such as receiving, storing, and distributing products, accurately picking and packing orders, stocking shelves, and maintaining a well-organized inventory. You’ll also support general warehouse duties to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. This position is more than just a job—it’s a pathway to growth! Responsibilities

  • Order Preparation: Efficiently prepare customer orders for will-call or shipping under direct supervision, ensuring accurate filling, packaging, and labeling of merchandise.
  • Order Management: Receive and prioritize work assignments via supervisor-issued tags, retrieving items from inventory using manual methods or forklifts as needed.
  • Inventory Handling: Organize and stage materials for delivery or customer pick-up, verifying order accuracy and timeliness before release.
  • Documentation: Complete bills of lading for deliveries and maintain organized, detailed records for customer pick-up orders, updating invoices with relevant notes.
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt service to “Express Will Call” customers and assist with counter sales by entering orders into the system and pulling/loading merchandise.
  • Team Collaboration: Promote a positive and productive work environment by communicating effectively and cooperating with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Growth Opportunity: Participate in tasks and training that prepare you for a seamless transition into a Waterworks Trainee role, gaining hands-on experience in specialized waterworks operations.
  • Additional Duties: Flexibly perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support warehouse efficiency and team success.
Skills:
  • Ability to work under supervision in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic forklift operation skills (training provided if needed) and physical capability to lift and move inventory.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
  • Willingness to learn and grow into a Waterworks Trainee position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and reading skills in English for effective interaction with team members, customers, and suppliers.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with a focus on building positive relationships with coworkers, customers, and external partners.
  • Basic proficiency in counting and performing calculations up to four-digit numbers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous approach to inventory and order accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including keyboarding, for order entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to assess situations, consider all factors, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Adherence to workplace safety rules, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Capability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting and operating equipment (forklift experience a plus, training provided if needed).
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills for transition into a Waterworks Trainee role.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
