Overview

PACE Supply is an employee-owned and operated corporation that has been in business since 1994. We are seeking an experienced Receiving Supervisor to join our San Jose, CA operation.  We are actively recuriting for a qualified team member that leads, coaches, and mentors employees to high performance standards. Plans, schedules, assigns, and directs work ensuring all receiving processes are followed by all and materials are received and putaway per set standards.

Responsibilities

As a Receiving Supervisor at PACE Supply, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of incoming shipments. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

· Manage and coordinate daily receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming products, including unloading, and sorting of deliveries.

· Conduct thorough inspections to verify the quality and quantity of received items, adhering to our high standards.

· Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.

· Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies.

· Monitor and control operational costs.

· Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed, including coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations.

· Prepares materials for delivery to and/or pick up by customers. Packs materials in boxes or on pallets (as appropriate), and labels accordingly

· Maintain an organized and efficient inventory system, tracking product levels and ensuring accuracy.

· Supervise and support a team of receiving associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

· Continuously identify opportunities to enhance receiving processes and efficiency, implementing improvements to optimize operations.

· Experience operating equipment (Stand-Up Forklift and/or Order (Cherry) Picker) is a plus.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

 

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.

 

· High school diploma/GED or equivalent education. 

·  3 years of warehouse, plumbing, and/or HVAC experience.

· 1-2 years of Warehouse Lead / Supervisor. experience

· Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.

· Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.

· Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

· The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

· Occasionally, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.

· Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

· The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

· Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
