Overview

PACE Supply is an employee-owned and operated corporation that has been in business since 1994.   We are looking for a customer focused Warehouse/Qualifed Driver for our branch in San Carlos, CA. This position executes all warehouse functions: receiving, putaway, order pulling, auditing, and the like. Will prepare Will-Call orders, take payments, and execute all Counter Sales functions.

 

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7am to 4pm with opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities

Counter Sales:

 

· Greet customers warmly and professionally, identifying their needs and providing prompt assistance.

· Engage customers in a courteous and helpful manner, offering product information and recommending suitable solutions.

· Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our computerized sales system.

· Generate price quotes and process payments for purchases.

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless customer service and resolve inquiries or issues.

· Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area, ensuring product displays are attractive and well-stocked.

· Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide expert advice to customers.

 

Warehouse Duties:

 

· Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against packing lists or purchase orders.

· Safely and efficiently store products in designated warehouse locations.

· Prepare orders for shipment by picking and packing items in accordance with customer requests.

· Utilize forklifts and other equipment to move, lift, and stack materials.

· Perform routine inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and assist in periodic physical inventories.

· Maintain a tidy and orderly warehouse, adhering to safety standards and best practices.

· Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize productivity and ensure timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

 

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.

 

· High school diploma/GED or equivalent education required. Two or Four-Year college degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration is preferred.

· Warehouse, plumbing, retail/customer service and forklift experience is also desirable, but not required.

· Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.

· Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.

· Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.

· Ability to recognize and read location, date, and product codes.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

· Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.

· Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

· Detail oriented with excellent follow up practices.

Physical Requirements:

· The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

· Occasionally, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.

· Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

· The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

· Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
