Overview

PACE Supply seeks an engaging and results-oriented Talent Development Manager to lead our learning and development initiatives to contribute in driving high performance across our teams. In this role, you will strategize, design, and implement programs that enhance employee development in alignment with PACE's values. You will cultivate a learning culture, focusing on internal programs for career progression, skill development, and leadership effectiveness.

 

As the Talent Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing the roadmap for the professional growth of our employees. By assessing performance, designing targeted training, and facilitating seminars, you will enhance essential skills across the organization. This includes cultivating a learning culture through internal programs that promote career progression, skill development, and leadership effectiveness. Your strategic approach will involve collaborating with PACE Supply management to develop and refine internal talent that align with our broader organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Training Needs Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify organizational training needs and collaborate with leaders to design and deliver leadership talent solutions.

Strategic Alignment

  • Provide thought leadership to align talent development with organizational goals, oversee talent frameworks, and manage external partnerships. 

Design and Develop Learning Solutions

  • Design, curate, and facilitate professional development programs, create development paths, map employee lifecycles, and apply instructional design methodologies.
  • Design and implement an ongoing and engaging manager development program, including training and workshops that align with our management philosophy and promote manager effectiveness.
  • Develop and lead inclusive training programs for the company, including facilitator-led training, self-guided courses, cohort learning groups, and other blended learning experiences with an emphasis on career development.

Selection and Management of Training Resources

  • Support the development and management of training programs, innovate learning solutions, and apply instructional design methodologies.

Program Evaluation

  • Define success measures, evaluate program effectiveness, implement evaluation processes, analyze feedback, and build talent reports.
  • Develop success metrics for programs and leverage data to drive decisions and improvements around development programs and learning activities. 

Optimizing Processes and Learning Solutions

  • Streamline and optimize talent development processes, stay abreast of industry best practices, and incorporate them into programs.

Technology Management

  • Manage technology platforms for learning and development and stay current on developments and practices to enhance talent strategies.
  • Effectively manage all learning management systems to determine the best program for the needs of the team.

Collaboration and Partnership

  • Partner closely with the People team and leaders to determine organizational learning objectives and develop a roadmap for learning strategy.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or equivalent combination of coursework and experience.

Minimum Work Experience and Skills

  • 3 years leading a training and development function and team.
  • 5 years of experience designing and facilitating learning & development programs for all levels in the organization
  • Experience designing a learning, development, and enablement strategy that integrates company values, a high-performance culture, and broader business goals.
  • Attention to Details and Accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate program effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Advanced Office Software Proficiency (Microsoft such as PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ideal Work Experience and Skills

  • 5 years of demonstrated success leading a training and development function and team within the same industry
  • Proficiency in designing course content using various course creator software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience supporting the compliance of CA Labor Laws.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, adept at planning, executing, and overseeing multifaceted talent development initiatives.

Ideal Professional License or designations

  • PHR Certification or equivalent preferred.
